EDITOR PICKS - SEPTEMBER 2018

EDITOR'S PICKS OF THE MONTH - SEPTEMBER 2018

We have been visiting more new openings this month, during what has been an exciting period for dazzling new restaurants in Bangkok.

Cagette Canteen & Deli is located on Soi Yen Akat and in an informal artisan setting serves robust French rustic cuisine, including cheese and preserved meats, at reasonable prices and with a home delivery service.

Alexander’s German Eatery, out at Ekkamai, is a venture by the former executive chef at Bei Otto, Alexander von Wnuk-Lipinski, and combines a beer garden with a tavern, a miniature beer-hall, and a fine dining room with a blazing (electronic) fire.

Di Farina, at Sathorn Soi 12, has a wood-fired pizza oven at which owner and chef Piyanut, who trained in Florence, prepares pizza using 100 percent Italian flour: hence the restaurant name, which means “from the flour”.

At Patpong, there is the very welcome addition of The Steakhouse Co., serving thoroughly good steaks and red wines in an atmosphere redolent of an American steakhouse.
